Anthony Imevbore

Born March 11, 2002, 22 years

Challenged with Social Communication and expressive Language. At the age of 22 and the last of 6 children, Anthony Imevbore has harnessed his basic artistic skills onkeen observation, interpretation, and depicting references. He is a unique artist with the autismspectrum. With a serious mindedness towards his canvas, he spends hours working as though theywere minutes. His ability to interpret colours has outgrown the 11 years tutoring given to him byKorede as he is able to show his scientifi c genius in the mix of colours.

Diagnosed at age 5 of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASF) and challenged with expressive language andsocial communication. He is able to write as he has undergone some level of primary and specializededucation.

Having had a long standing relationship with art brushes, colours, art references and canvasses,Anthony presents himself uniquely with the ability to work with little supervision or guidance. When heis in the midst of people, he has no fright but prefers being in a quiet state in self-refl ection. He fanciesthe beauty of women, his home and the things that are more pleasing to him. This is refl ected in hisworks.
Anthony Imevbore does not only specialize in the art of paintings but has a taste for music which isevident in his skill at the Piano. With the support of his parents; providence of art supplies, therapy andvisitation to several art exhibitions has kept him on track in his skill for art.

With his body of works at his fi rst exhibition at the PureSouls Art Exhibition 2024; Birthing Imaginations, Anthony’s brush strokes and colours reveal a story line of unique experiences and interests of his life sofar. He mostly paints from references while adding a unique technique using his acrylic paint thought byhis tutor, giving his works some level of peculiarity. His process involves a careful start from his sketch,without aid, to application of paints according to the references he interprets from. This slow butsteady process keeps him on for hours while he enjoys the “sip and paint” style in his paintings sessions.
